No Fix, No Fee — 50% Refund
If we cannot resolve the reported software or configuration issue during your 1-hour session, you receive a 50% refund — $74.99 USD — within 5 business days. We keep the remaining $75.00 as compensation for the certified senior technician who stayed with you on the encrypted session and ran the full diagnostic.
Quick math: $149.99 booking → no fix → $74.99 refund + $75.00 kept for 1 hour of senior technician time.
Why 50% and not 100%
A full no-fix scenario still means a senior technician spent up to 1 hour on an encrypted remote session with you — diagnosing, running tools, attempting recovery, documenting findings. That hour has real cost. The $75.00 we keep covers that work. The remaining $74.99 is returned because the outcome you booked for was not delivered.
This 50/50 model is honest, sustainable, and lets us keep the flat $149.99 price low for the 95% of sessions that do resolve.
Eligibility
You're eligible for the 50% refund ($74.99) if:
- The reported software/configuration issue is not resolved by the end of the 1-hour session
- The technician completed the full diagnostic but the underlying cause is unfixable remotely
- The issue turns out to require hardware service that no remote technician can perform
100% Refund Cases
You receive a full $149.99 refund only when:
- The technician determines within the first 10 minutes that the issue is out of scope, and you choose not to proceed
- The session cannot start due to technical failure on our side
- We fail to reach you within the 1-hour priority window and you cancel
Exclusions — No Refund
No refund applies when:
- Ownership disputes — we cannot verify you own the device or account
- Illegal activity — bypassing enterprise lockouts you don't own, recovering stolen device, etc.
- Client cancellation after the technician has started substantive work past the first 10 minutes
- Client disconnects without good reason and refuses to reschedule
- Successful resolution — once the reported issue is fixed, the full $149.99 is non-refundable
Refund Process
- Email help@remotefix247.com within 7 days of your session, referencing your booking ID
- State briefly what was unresolved
- We review the session notes and confirm the refund amount ($74.99 or $149.99) by email within 2 business days
- Refund is processed via the original Stripe payment within 5 business days of confirmation
Free Follow-Up Option
In some 50%-refund cases, we instead offer a free follow-up session (worth $149.99) with a different senior technician — at your choice. Pick whichever makes more sense for your situation.
Monthly Plan Cancellation
The $49/month maintenance plan can be cancelled at any time. No refund for the current billing month, but no further charges.
